since i decided to self-publish my books after my traditional publishing experience with please love me at my worst, i had a little bit of an identity crisis.
though i proved that i would be able to financially sustain myself beyond my wildest dreams with self-publishing (which just wasn’t the case with traditional publishing), i felt like a black sheep for openly talking about my experiences.
since opening up, i’ve realized that how i feel is not outside of the norm–a lot of people feel the way i do. and i’ve realized that i can do a lot of the things i previously ascribed to only being possible with traditional publishing.
i could go on a book tour, i could have a book signing, i could record an audiobook.
and doing it by myself won’t mean it’s not as good or any less legitimate than doing it with a publisher.
all that is to say…
two of my books, you’ll come back to yourself and there is room for all of you here are now on audible, read by me. you can get them through the audible app or on amazon.
i hope hearing the stories i’ve told through these poems in my own voice touches you in a new way.
and i hope you remember that though the path less traveled might have a few learning curves, it can lead to something just as beautiful.
